This hyperlocal, interactive community guide helps people discover and explore imaginative thinkers in their neighborhood:

  • We ask PTAs, schools, civic groups, environmental advocates, and arts orgs to nominate inspiring local achievements, then make a short doc film about their story.

  • Each film is screened in community centers, libraries, and schools within a one-mile radius of its subject.

  • Screenings include facilitated Q&A sessions with parents, educators, historians, and the featured artists, environmentalists, and volunteers.

  • Our archive already contains over 100 short films from a variety of neighborhoods.

In our film interview with renowned singer Pete Seeger, he said, “It’s the little things in life that transform the quality and potential of our societies.”

These free public film screenings bring neighbors together to meet their local imaginative thinkers—who elevate the quality of life within a one-mile radius of their community.

Through intergenerational talks and local tours, we highlight their unique accomplishments that enrich lives through creativity, environmental stewardship, and generosity.

The Radius Project engages communities as microcosms of teaching and learning think tanks for future visionaries.
