The Radius Project is a community engagement program that celebrates the accomplishments of imaginative thinkers within a one-mile radius of a neighborhood.

Through films, talks, and tours, we help neighbors discover and explore creativity, innovation, and problem-solving already present in their own community.

The Radius Project partners with libraries, schools, and community centers to blend intergenerational conversations with local tours. This is a fun, immersive exploration of the often unseen impact of free expression, environmentalism, and the giving spirit. Our events help people reimagine their neighborhood as a bounty of inspiration for future thinkers, doers, and leaders.

Singer Pete Seeger reflected in one of our interviews: “It is the little things in life that transform our societies.”

Working with PTA groups, arts orgs, environmental advocates, and civic leaders, we identify local artists, environmentalists, and problem solvers who are making an impact. We then make a film and host a community screening and conversation. This is an opportunity for historians, educators, and neighbors to interact and connect with inspired people who are improving the quality of life where they live.
